Theresa L. Heibel , DVM
Dr. Theresa Heibel, DVM, has worked at Memorial Animal Hospital since 1998, and has been the owner since 2002. Originally from outside Kansas City, she graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After graduation she went to work for an all dairy/equine practice in upstate New York. There she enjoyed the animals but soon moved on to a small animal practice in southern Ohio. It was in Ohio where she began her love of small animal surgery. After two years, she met Dr. Charles Beutel, and began to practice at what is now Memorial Animal Hospital. Theresa has been married for ten years to her husband Scott. They have two children, Jesse, who is five years old, and Riley, who is 20 months old. They feel lucky to own a small farm that allows them to have more pets than most. They currently have two dogs, five cats, one horse, three pigs, and nine cows. All of the cats and one dog are rescue animals. As a family they love the idea of saving a pet that has been thrown away. As a veterinarian, Theresa has a strong interest in surgery, dermatology, and behaviorial issues. She spends the majority of her free time with her children, enjoying horseback riding, gardening, sports, and just generally being outside.

He first started out as a veterinary assistant (duties which he still performs today but on a limited basis) and is currently Dr. Heibel's executive assistant. This entails as Dr. Heibel has said "...doing everything I don't have the time to do or want to do...". Which in reality means: meeting with Drug Reps.; managing inventory; researching, installing and maintaining veterinary equipment and informational systems; trouble shooting facility issues; and dealing with day to day problems as they arise. Jason graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in Economics and a minor in Art History and also attend Kent State University School of Architecture. He resides in Brimfield and enjoys spending time with his three children Charlie, Corinne, and Camille. In the fall he has been known to reside in "his little fantasy football world". Mary Sterpka
Mary Sterpka Delaney joined the staff of Memorial Animal Hospital in October of 1986, after an 18 year career as a vocalist in local bands. Working with animals was something she had always felt she would enjoy and she began at the hospital as a Veterinary Assistant, working with Dr. Fred Banks and Dr. Charles Beutel, the "Founding Veterinarians" of the practice. Mary learned to work in every department of the hospital, and, as the practice grew, found her niche at the front desk, and as the Front Office Supervisor. Working in the reception area has allowed Mary to continue to enjoy interaction with the animals and with their human families. Outside of work, Mary spends time with her very large and close-knit family, and with her 17# roommate "Baby Kitty". She still enjoys singing occasionally, and doing many different kinds of crafts, and loves to travel.
